"Hello, my name is Surendra Singh and I was born and brought up in Madhya Pradesh. My family already worked in the tradition of crafting leather animals of various sizes and shapes. With all their work happening around me, I was naturally drawn to animals of different kinds. No matter what species I studied at school, I got the opportunity to see them at home (although not live!). It was great fun, and I often used to bring my friends to my place to show off my leather animal collection.
"After graduating with a degree in commerce, I went into my family's line of work, which was an obvious choice for me. I had already acquired the skill to craft the leather animals when I was in school, so it was not a tough job for me. Besides, my love for wildlife brought me closer to my work. All of our products are completely handmade. It is a delicate and lengthy process. In addition to our collection of popular animals, we also design extinct animal forms. Through these creations, we present a plea to all peoples to save endangered species from extinction.
"Twenty-two artisans work with us. We are constantly evolving our designs, to create something new. With the dedication of our entire team, we participated in the Thirtieth Expo Hogar Regalo Spring 2004 in Barcelona, Spain. We were also honored with a prize for best display at the India International Trade Fair in 2003."
